PREPARING ARABIC COFFEE WITH AN ELECTRIC DALLA

Arabic Coffee, One of the Favorite beverage among Arab people and also it’s a part of their Traditions. We will explain to you how to prepare flavorsome Arabic Coffee at Home! Arab Middle Eastern meetings often revolve around food and drink, and one of the most common ways to entertain guests, neighbors, and friends is by brewing coffee pot after pot of rich Arabic coffee to enjoy over the pleasant conversation.

Today, coffee is loved all over the world and all through the day. The coffee flower has its roots somewhere in Africa. From there the coffee was imported into the middle east where it was cultured and inherited the term ‘qahwa’ (قهوة). 

For most of the Middle Eastern Arab people, preparing Qahwa (Arabic Coffee) using a traditional Dalla (Coffee Pot) is in their gene! But for those of you who are inexperienced with the process and want to give it a go, we have prepared these instructions.

Before you start preparing Qahwa, you need to decide how solid (or light) you like it to taste. 

Below is an indication of how to scale this when preparing any of our Coffees:

Half tablespoon / 250-ml cup = light Flavoured (colored) Coffee 

One tablespoon / 250-ml cup = Medium strong (colored) Coffee

Two tablespoons / 250-ml cup = Strong Flavoured Coffee.  

Once you have the measures done rightly, you can start preparing. When using an electric Dallah for making Arabic Coffees, we suggested the following preparation ways

Fill the Dalla with the quantity of water you want and place it on an ordinary heat. When the water in that pot boils, reduce the heat of Dalla from and let it cool for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Next, add the preferred quantity of Coffee power to the water in that Dalla and stir fine.


After 8 to10 minutes, spume will start increasing at the top of the pot. If it starts boiling, remove the Dalla from the base. You may also want to lessen the heat very little before recurring the dallah to the heat. After the 2 minutes later the Coffee has reached a fester, turn off the switch and serve it to your guest.  This way of preparing Arabic Coffee in Arab Dalla will give you exceptional tasty Arabic Coffee every time.
