The coffee making process varies widely and goes through some of the essential stages. Therefore, coffee makers use some tools to simplify this process. This article covers Arabic coffee making tools such as: (Al-Najr (Stony Pounder), Al-Mahmas, Al-Mabrad (Cooler), Al-Minfakh (bellows), Al-Melqat (fireplace tongs), Al-Jirab, Al-Fingal (coffee cup), and Al-Dallah (coffee pot) 

ARABIC COFFEE MAKING TOOLS

Al-Mahmas - It is a long copper tool used to mix the coffee beans while on fire and it’s very significant because it controls the degree of coffee roasting rendering to the preference of clients

Al-Mabrad - It is a rectangular container used to cool coffee beans after the roasting process because crushing coffee beans directly after roasting affects the quality of the coffee

Al-Najr – This is a coffee making tool made of stone and a traditional replacement to a popular machine to grind the coffee beans, as Al-Najr is in the form of a stone pot in which coffee beans are placed, crushed and ground by the mortar

Al-Minfakh - It is a tool made of wood and leather, used to prepare the coffee. It controls the intensity and temperature of the fire as well as the removal of smoke during the roasting

Al-Melqat - It is a long iron tool used to arrange the stove and mixing the Jamer (burning coal) during the process of roasting

 Al-Jirab - Like Al-Mabrad, it is a tool used to keep Arabic coffee or coffee-additive spices such as cardamom

Al-Molaqemah - It is an average sized Coffee Maker in which coffee is placed to be made

 Al-Fingal - It is one of the tools made for drinking coffee and represents a symbol of coffee among the Arabs and was made from ancient clay to the evolution to its present form made of engraved porcelain

Al-Dallah - One of the most main coffee making tools made of copper, used as a coffee pot and to ferment the spices with coffee
 

ARABIC COFFEE MAKING TOOLS IN THE PRESENT

Now, with the wonderful industrial development in the world, the preparation of Arabic coffee (Saudi coffee) has become easier, especially after Saudi Arabia registered a patent in 2013 No. 9144 for the Electric Arabic Dalla which is used in the preparation and delivery of Arabic coffee in a more modern and easy way to deliver coffee. Coffee can be served directly after preparation because it is designed in the traditional form known to the Arab evidence, as it shortened all the coffee tools to become a device made of electrical Dalla and the base of electronic control of the preparation process and heating in addition to the standard spoons of coffee and cardamom during preparation.
